About April

I am a computational biology PhD student. I am studying gene evolution in the Carvunis lab, with a focus on understanding transcriptional patterns of protogenes by reusing large RNA-sequencing datasets. Outside of research, I enjoy my two cats, making crossword puzzles, and editing videos for my science YouTube channel, bioZone.
