New paper in Science Advances

A long-standing project in the lab has been published in Science Advances where we characterize how inflammatory information is transmitted across the plasma membrane of cells. The work defines and characterizes a signaling motif called a variable-gain stochastic pooling network that effectively acts as a molecular information-compression circuit that has remarkable noise mitigation properties. Huge congratulations to co-first authors J. Agustin Cruz and Chaitanya Mokashi for driving the project to completion. The published article is available here.
