A postdoctoral Research Associate position is available immediately in our laboratory in the Department of Computational and Systems Biology, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. The project involves developing and applying graphical models to health care data. In particular, we are developing methods for disease subclassification and prediction of clinical outcomes from blood biomarkers and microbiome samples. A substantial part of our research involves analysis of single cell RNA-seq data to discover mechanisms of progression and treatment response in cancer and chronic diseases. The research will be carried out in collaboration with clinical and basic science researchers in the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in biostatistics, computer science, engineering, or related field. Research experience in computational biology is a plus.
The position is available immediately and will be open until it is filled.
