Congratulations to Dr. Jeremy Berg, who has been appointed endowed chair. Dr. Berg is the Pittsburgh Foundation Professor of Personalized Medicine and director of the Institute for Personalized Medicine.

Dr. Berg gave his Provost’s Inaugural Lecture, “A Personal Journal to Personalized Medicine,” on March 23, 2015. The Provost’s Inaugural Lecture series invites distinguished University of Pittsburgh faculty members to give a lecture marking their recent appointments to endowed chairs.

His research focuses on relationships between the structures and functions of biological molecules, on investigating biomolecule interaction inside cells through experimental and computational methods, and on integrating and advancing personalized medicine.
