We have been awarded a collaborative research award from the UPMC Hillman Developmental Pilot Program. The project title is “CRISPR-enabled tracking of cancer cell chromosome instability and karyotype landscape evolution”. The team includes Dr Xing (PI), Jian Yu (PI), Simon Watkins (Co-I), and Yijiun Chen (Co-I).
Congratulations! Let’s push the papers out.
Cassandra Rios (ISB), April Rich, Dante Poe, and Mark Ebeid (CPCB) will rotate in the lab this semester. Enjoy your time here!
He will stay with us for a year to learn molecular cell biology techniques.
High school student Jefferson Mei received best poster award at the final summer camp presentation. Undergraduate trainee Erin Haus was nominated to attend the national REU conference. Graduate student Yan Zhang received best poster award at the CPCB retreat.
Dr Xing talks about our recent efforts on reconstructing single cell dynamics from live cell imaging trajectories at the meeting.
He delivered a series lectures at PKU, Tsinghua University, and Renmin University, and an invited talk at Quantitative Biology 2019: Dynamic Signaling in Cells and Embryos.
Jefferson Mei is a local high school student. Yan Dai is an undergraduate student majoring in Physics at Nanjing University, China. They will do research on quantitative image analysis with Dr Weikang Wang.
