Benos receives pilot grant

Prof. Takis Benos received a one-year pilot grant – “Probabilistic Causal Models for Melanoma Therapy Prognosis”.

This grant will develop and apply algorithms for integrative analysis of omics (gene expression, CNV) and clinical features for the successful completion of this project.

Congratulations, Takis!

Center for Causal Discovery is the PITT MED Magazine cover story

The Center for Causal Discovery is featured on the cover of the Winter 2016 PITT MED Magazine.

“A dream team of big thinkers in Pittsburgh helps scientists draw meaningful conclusions about our health amid the big data morass. As they do so, they’re overhauling how modern science is done.”

Several Computational & Systems Biology faculty members, researchers, and students are involved with the Center – including Drs. Ivet Bahar and Jeremy Berg as principal investigators.

Pick up a copy of PITTMED or read the article online.
